Writing can by lonely and overwhelming. For some, it’s difficult to carve out the time. For others, it’s a lack of discipline or deadlines. Many people yearn to write but have no idea where or how to begin. Sometimes you need a push or a thought-provoking writing prompt. You want someone to point the way, help you formulate thoughts, and guide words onto the page. There is no one way to get started.

A writing coach can address all of your needs.

I’ve been working with small groups and one-on-one since 2009. Writing lessons and coaching sessions are usually one hour long and can be as often as you like. Focus can be on craft, structure, feedback/revision, submission, some or any or all of the above.

“Writing can't be taught or learned in a vacuum. We must say to students in every area of knowledge: 'This is how other people have written about this subject. Read it; study it; think about it. You can do it, too.'” -William Zinsser
